A tarde ficou aberta a conversas com colaboradores da Semana de Design, na orientação e organização das mesas, apresentações, textos, e no estudo da produção de um site para o PENSAR DESIGN, pelo Studio Pulp. Fala sobre produtos de ciclo completo, em que a matéria-prima, transformada em conteúdo técnico ou mantida natural (e biodegradável) é aplicada em produtos já concebidos para pleno reaproveitamento do material. Assim, paramos de explorar a Terra e passamos a enriquecer os ecossistemas e a diversidade natural. Parece utopia, mas é pura criatividade sem constrangimento neurótico, sem certas limitações da modernidade filosófica e econômica que já nos pesaram demais. Por que pontos começaríamos a PENSAR DESIGN neste evento, que reúne as escolas e profissionais brilhantes de toda São Paulo?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Na mesma reunião, e na seguinte, no MUBE - Museu Brasileiro da Escultura, dia 30/9, abrimos três dimensões para nosso PENSAR: global, coletiva (das cidades) e íntima. Um paralelo de nosso KM-M-MM, símbolo da Semana de Design.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;As três dimensões estão detalhadas numa postagem abaixo ("Temas de Pesquisa"), com seus respectivos subtemas.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Sem entrar já em detalhes, considero que há uma dor importante a tratarmos em cada um destes três planos, e que, em todos eles, o tratamento passa pela valorização do design. Tenho insistido nisto como resposta clínica - palavra de psicanalista.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;PALAVRA DE PSICANALISTA&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Confesso acreditar que a crise financeira americana - que ganha o mundo nestes dias - tem uma boa resposta pelo design. O chamado "capitalismo global" só terá uma alternativa para não repetir bolhas de especulação se houver uma apreensão do design - e no próprio campo financeiro, não se conhece esta saída. O público, em contato com o design, pode ensinar os financistas.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;A condição sem-saída da estrutura financeira atual está bem descrita na Newsweek de 6 de outubro: A New Age of Global Capitalism Starts Now (Uma Nova Era do Capitalismo Global Começa Agora). No final do artigo, vemos como o sistema financeiro fica condenado a ciclos de crise como a atual, com ou sem regulamentação - a isto, poderíamos acrescentar: está condenado se não reconhecermos que ele interage com outros campos sociais (como o design, em especial).&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Considero também que fenômenos da psique contemporânea como crises de pânico, depressão, hiperatividade, obesidade e anorexia, bulimia, compulsões e apatias, são todos acessados pelo design, e somente pelo design. Há uma clínica do design para se fazer nos dias de hoje, única com efetivos resultados, que tem por saída uma ética de vida criativa.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Vejo, ainda, que não haverá retorno para a educação. Ela tornou-se uma fórmula insuportável para os jovens de cultura global, a não ser que ela caminhe no sentido do trabalho sobre o mundo - o design. Vemos as experiências neste sentido darem encantadoramente certo, porque engajam os alunos. Na adolescência, trata-se de antecipar o contato com o mundo adulto, pedindo dos jovens novas visões. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;No outro extremo da educação, temos um novo lastro para a vida profissional e o trabalho: toda ação profissional tem desdobramento em design e, nas ações em que este desdobramento não se encontra, vemos uma defasagem ética e uma crise de satisfação das pessoas.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Enfim, para a questão ecológica, insisto novamente na resposta pelo design: em longo prazo, a única ação viável para não transformarmos o planeta em lixo está no início da cadeia produtiva e, melhor dizer, da cadeia criativa. O problema, como dizem McDonough e Braungart (Cradle to Cradle), tem sido falta de imaginação. Tudo precisará renovação. Tudo permite uma versão sustentável, nutritiva, viável à subsistência, ou até mais, que enriqueça ecologicamente o planeta. Basta pensarmos... design.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Parece uma posição radical - ter resposta única em tantos planos - mas não é.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Posso defender que a resposta pelo design é invariavelmente aberta: filosoficamente, clinicamente, socialmente, eticamente, politicamente, culturalmente, pedagogicamente, em qualquer "mente" que nos interesse.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;No PENSAR DESIGN, espero que façamos esta defesa sem argumentação, apenas com convites e a exposição de fenômenos e reflexões bastante contemporâneos. Se no XX executamos projetos grandiosos, no XXI descobrimos seus custos. O projeto de uma indústria de massa, do transporte individual e do urbanismo concreto nos trouxe a imagem de um planeta em risco. O projeto de uma tecnologia da informação nos trouxe dispersão do convívio, mas contato cultural amplo ou global. A geração nascida neste novo século também foi transformada pela experiência do século XX. Os jovens compreendem as diferenças do design como jamais antes. É uma geração que não se convence por projetos e quer ver resultados – tanto que não utiliza manuais.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:11.0pt;"&gt;Nossa ética para os objetos mudou: se no século dos projetos, o XX, valia a intenção, no século XXI valem as conseqüências. A profissão do designer é transformada. Projetistas cheios de boas idéias podem ser considerados ingênuos. Não há criação sem realização. Não há realização sem conexão entre pessoas. Design é relação. Design é um laço.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:11.0pt;"&gt;Assim como o usuário não perde tempo no manual, o designer não pode se deter nos mecanismos e lógicas de seu projeto. É antes o uso, o ambiente produzido e sua sustentabilidade que contam.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:11.0pt;"&gt;As gerações do XXI tendem a construir um novo mundo.
